“And the testimony is
this: God has given us eternal life – we
already possess it – and this life is in His Son resulting in our spiritual
completeness, and eternal companionship with Him. He who has the Son – by accepting Him as Lord
and Saviour -- has the life that is eternal; he who does not have the Son of
God by personal faith does not have the life.
I John 5:11-12
“…The salvation provided and offered by Christ’s death is
only to those who RECEIVE Him. Every promise of salvation is hinged on the
words, ‘He that believes’ (receives).
Our part is to receive the Saviour, and God is the One to save from sin
and Hell. – Four parts are God’s work, and only one part is ours.[1]”
God has done all He can do.
It is our turn. He will not keep
us from Hell and give us eternal life until we do our part. The ONLY part we have in this life-giving
exchange – the ONE condition of this amazing promise - is to take our turn
(repent) and receive Him and His salvation.
Why?
You see, He created us and gave us free will. Unlike any other creature, we alone have the
power to say ‘no’ to the Father as He reaches out to save us. If we are lost, it is because we reject God’s
way of salvation. There is no other
reason!
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)
