Surrender

Janet Paschal - It Won't Rain Always [Live]

“At that time Jesus answered and said, ‘I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes.  Yes, Father, for thus it was well pleasing in Thy sight.

“’All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son, except the Father,; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

“’Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.’” Matthew 11:25-30

The world grows heavier with sadness and sorrow and suffering and confusion.  Through it all, no matter how heavy the burden you feel on your heart right now, the Lord Jesus is waiting to take it from you and to carry you through this time.  Surrender!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

Love Moved First

“And the word of One shall go forth, ‘Cast up, cast up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of the spiritual return of My people.  For thus says the high and lofty One Who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy;

“‘I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a thoroughly penitent and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the thoroughly penitent – bruised with sorrow for sin.  For I will not contend forever, neither will I be angry always, for were it not so, the spirit of man would faint and be consumed before Me, and My purpose in creating the soul of men would be frustrated.

“’Because of the iniquity of his covetousness and unjust gain I was angry, and smote Judah.  I hid My face and was angry, and he went on turning away and backsliding in the way of his own willful heart.  I have seen his willful ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him also, and will recompense him and restore comfort to him and to those who mourn for him.’” Isaiah 57:14-18 (Amplified Bible)

Sometimes I am overwhelmed with surprise and awe that God sees our heart and despite what He finds there, He is the One who chooses to heal us.  Even though we are willful, greedy and sneaky with our thoughts, words and deeds…and though we see ourselves as just and kind…He knows us and loves us, warts and all.  Isn’t that just amazing!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene
