from Laine Wilder

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or consider Him worth knowing as their Creator; God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do things which are improper and repulsive, until they were filled – permeated, saturated – with every kind of unrighteousness wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice and mean-spiritedness.

They are Gossips, spreading rumours, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and disrespectful to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful without pity.

Although they know God’s righteous decree and His judgment, that those who do such things deserve death, yet they do not only do them, but they even enthusiastically approve and tolerate others who practice them.”  Romans 1:28-32

“Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident:  they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality – total irresponsibility, lack of self-control – idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions that promote heresies, envy, drunkenness, riotous behaviour and other things like these.  I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21

“God is not only holy Himself, He demands that no sin enter His presence, so Heaven must be holy.  Not one sin can enter His Holy City. … Even one lie is enough to exclude one from the holy presence of God.[1]

Jesus hung on the cross for you.  He took all your sin into Him.  And when He did, God had to hide His face from His own Son -- Christ cried, ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?’  Jesus willingly made the ultimate sacrifice for you -- when He died, He took your sins with Him to the grave.

When He arose, He demonstrated that He alone is victorious over sin and death.  He is the only One who can satisfy the price God demands for your sin.  And He did that because He loves you!  Read the two passages of Scriptures above to remember the reasons you need a Saviour!

Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still prays for you each day)
