God's Will (Official Video)

“There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

[Jesus speaking] “’O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who murders the prophets and stones to death those messengers who are sent to her by God!  How often I wanted to gather your children together around Me, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.’” Matthew 23:37

[Jesus teaching] “’You search and keep on searching and examining the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and yet it is those very Scriptures that testify about Me; and still you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.’” John 5:40

“The Lord does not delay as though He were unable to act and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is extraordinarily patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9

“… do not forget that there are two phases [of the will of God].  There is the primary or perfect will of God, that which He desires and for which He made man … On the other hand, we have the permissive will of God.  Because men choose to resist God’s will and seek their own ways instead,

“… The amazing fact is:  the God who can do anything and everything, who created us, will not force our will!  He gives us a free choice.  Here again is proof of the truth of the Bible!  No human mind could imagine a God like that![1]

God certainly has the power and right to thwart our will.  Yet, if He did, we would not be coming to Him out of a sincere heart of awareness of our disobedience and sin.

God did not make us ‘obedient robots’ but able to see our need for Him and ask.  With our ability to recognise our disobedience, we also have the assurance that He loves us so much He provides a way to satisfy the requirements of Godly justice.

Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still prays for you each day)

Pray for those in full-time service

Pray to uphold our Christian leaders – that they never compromise God’s Word, are bold and courageous in the face of evil.  Pray for their wisdom, safety, ingenuity, strength and for their families.

Pray for those with ongoing health concerns

Many of us have family, friends and loved ones with fragile health.  Pray God takes special care with them and protects them in practical ways and that the Lord will have mercy on them during this challenging time.

Pray for the World
