Grow Up In Christ
(New Gospel Song) by SharingGospelSongs
“And we know with great confidence that God who is deeply
concerned about us, causes all things to work together as a plan for good for
those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and
purpose.
“For those whom He foreknew and loved and chose
beforehand, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son and
ultimately share in His complete sanctification, so that He would be the first
born, the most beloved and honoured among many believers.
“And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those
whom He called He also justified declared free of the guilt of sin; and those whom
He justified, He also glorified – raising them to a heavenly dignity.” Romans
8:28-30
“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in
a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His
image from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord,
who is the Spirit.” II Corinthians 3:18
“If our Christian life is not consistent, we may be the
cause of someone passing on into eternity without God and without hope.[1]”
People use all sorts of excuses for not considering the precious
gift of Jesus sacrifice to pay for their sins.
One of those excuses is that Christianity doesn’t seem to work for
Christians any better than a worldly approach.
Like a defaced or missing road sign that was meant to warn,
protect and save lives, when we are not in working condition, others may miss
the point of Christ. As we ‘grow up’ in Christ,
we find it becomes easier to compromise our needs, wants and desires to be ‘good
road signs’ to help others find His Truth.
This is not about you feeling miserable and guilty. God’s purpose for your life is to grow you increasingly
more into the image of His beloved Son.
The result is that you will radiate His precious value in your life that
will attract others to His offer.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)
