Tackling the Trinity, 3

“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belongs to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16

“’These things I have spoken to you, while abiding with you.  But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.’” John 14:25-26

“There is a complexity to God’s being that is not paralleled in any part of creation (there is nothing in nature that might accurately illustrate the Trinity for us), and therefore we know only that which has been revealed, and what lies beyond revelation is for the time being, a mystery.”*

Theologians and sages have always tried to unravel the mystery of the Trinity.  Some liken the interrelationship within the Trinity to water/ice/steam, others see a parallel to the roles played by an individual, for instance:  mother/ daughter/ business woman.  Yet it’s apparent all of our attempts are unable to grasp the magnificence of this mystery.  Some things we must trust God to understand!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
