Knows It All, Too

“but just as it is written, ‘Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.’  For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him?  Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God that we might know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.” I Corinthians 2:9-13

“No one teaches the Holy Spirit anything!  It is wonderful to know that the Spirit who indwells us is one who knows everything there is to know, who will never be taken by surprise or caught unaware of, or be unprepared for any event that we pass through.  What we do not know, the Holy Spirit does, and as He lives within us to guide us in the fulfilling of God’s purposes, there need be no accidents.  He will ALWAYS be one step ahead of our circumstances!”*

When I was a young woman, trying to understand God before He came into my life, I used to pose silly and sometimes weighty ideas to Him.  Once I told Him, He could NOT understand how I felt when I was having my period because He was a He...I’m so sure He was amused, maybe even chuckling at me.

Then one day I thought about what I had read about the Holy Spirit living within my heart and I realised with a smile, that He did understand EVERYTHING about my life.  That was a bit scary for awhile until I remembered I could always trust Him with everything too – even the messy bits of my life!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
