Converting & Regenerating

“Nicodemus said to Him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old?  He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?’

“Jesus answered, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of Spirit is spirit.’” John 3:4-6

“And if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead, will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.” Romans 8:11

It is never the task of a human being to make someone else a Christian.  That is an impossibility.  All we can do is introduce people to Jesus Christ and He alone has the ability to give new life to them.

“His job is simply to make Jesus Christ clean, and as people respond to Christ; the Holy Spirit does the job of converting and regenerating.”*

When you give your life to Christ, He gives you eternal life and the Holy Spirit to continue leading you to become more in the image of Jesus – that is the purpose of our lives!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
