Tackling the Trinity, 2

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear it and rejoice.  O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.  I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.  They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

“O taste and see that the Lord is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!  O fear the Lord, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no want.  The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good things.

“The righteous cry and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.  The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

“The Lord redeems the sould of His servants; and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.”  Psalm 34:1-5, 8-10, 17-19, 22

“If God is God we would expect aspects of His Being and methods of His working to be outside of our limited understanding.  If God could be fitted into our understanding He would not be a very big God!  --There is a complexity to God’s being that is not paralleled in any part of creation (there is nothing in nature that might accurately illustrate the Trinity for us), and we therefore know only that which has been revealed, and what lies beyond revelation, is for the time being a mystery.”*

There is nothing more mysterious than the way the Holy Spirit works in our hearts before we meet and trust our hearts to the Lord; and during times of challenge after we are His.  The power of Jesus Christ sacrificial gift is God’s will for us and the Holy Spirit is tasked with drawing us closer to His image.  What a hope and future we have as His children!  And I do not understand how He could save one such as me, but that miracle also happened!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
