Lasts Forever!

“But the Lord was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; if He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.  As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; by His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities.” Isaiah 53:10-11

“But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all; having obtained eternal redemption.

“For the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscious from dead works to serve the living God?”  Hebrews 9:11-14

“He [Holy Spirit] is eternal.  To be eternal is to have no beginning and no end.  A Christian is everlasting (i.e. he has no end) because he has received eternal life, which is the life of the eternal God, whose presence in us assures us that although we had a beginning in time, we will have no end.  It is God’s life, that is eternal, and it is the gift of God to us (not the gift FROM God) that is our eternal life.  God is the gift, and upon receiving His presence and life, we begin to enjoy His eternal life!”*

We have a beginning and no end once we accept the gracious gift that Jesus Christ has provided for us.  And there is no “use by” date on this.  Eternal life is outs because the Holy Spirit lives within us – because HE is eternal.  Now THAT is a miracle to be thankful for!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
