Authority Divine

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20

“Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.  Greet one another with a holy kiss.  All the saints greet you.  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.”  II Corinthians 13:14

“All three members of the Trinity are behind the program to evangelise the world, and they operate together in unity. – The Holy spirit is given equal status with the Father and the Son, acknowledging His identity as God.”*

It is easy to pick up the image from the world of a “spirit” being formless and amorphous, soft and fluffy and just hanging around sort of weak and pretty.  The Holy Spirit IS co-equal with the Father-God and Jesus Christ.  Tomorrow I will start tackling the concept of the Trinity.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
