Is Filled With Thankfulness
(Official Lyric Video) - Keith
& Kristyn Getty
“Yes, and I will rejoice, later as well, for I know with
confidence that this will turn out for my deliverance and spiritual well-being,
through your prayers and superabundant supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ
which upholds me.
“It is my own eager expectation and hope, that looking toward
the future, I will not disgrace myself nor be ashamed in anything, but that with
courage and the utmost freedom of speech, even now as always, Christ will be
magnified and exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.” Philippians 1:18b-20
“For it is not your strength, but it is God who is
effectively at work in you, both to will and to work that is strengthening,
energising, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfil your
purpose for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
“Finally, my fellow believers, continue to rejoice and
delight in the Lord. To write the same
things again is no trouble for me, and it is a safeguard for you.” Philippians 3:1
Yesterday, I found my heart overflowing with thanksgiving
for … well, just about everything from mud to glass to birds, people,
buildings, grit under my foot, the bus and train, air to breathe, eyes to see, feeling
tired, shoes to protect my feet … well you get my drift. It was a remarkable day considering every
possible thing as His purposeful gifts to me His child!
It is so easy to see what is wrong in our world, in our day
to day, what is missing, who we miss, why something thwarts us … and forget
that His sovereignty rules over all and in all … for our good and His
glory. Please pray for a day of
unabandoned thankfulness!
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)
