Hour of Prayer by Casting Crowns
[Jesus teaching] “’Also, when you pray, do not be like
the hypocrites; for they love to pray publicly standing in the synagogues and
on the corners of the streets so that they may be seen by men. I assure you and most solemnly say to you,
they already have their reward in full.
“But when you pray, go into your most private room, close
the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees
what is done in secret will reward you.
“’And when you pray do not use meaningless repetition as
the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard because of their many
words. So do not be like them, praying
as they do; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Pray, then, in this way:
“’Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth
as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors, letting
go of both the wrong and the resentment.
“’And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from
evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the
power and the glory forever. Amen.’” Matthew 6:5-13 The Amplified Bible
Thank you, Rachel, Isaias, Patti and Elaine for your
faithful prayer updates. I endeavour not
to remove someone’s request, but as someone who prays, it is so helpful to have
updates about how God is working. This
encourages everyone to be more faithful with their prayer time.
If any who read the devotion here and have prayer updates or new requests (or would like to receive the devotion by email), please let me know in the blog
comments or by email (darlenerichard@gmail.com ).
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)

there is an android ‘Google
