Everybody Is Doing It

“Woe is me!  For I am like the fruit pickers and the grain gatherers.  There is not a cluster of grapes to eat.  Or a first ripe fig which I crave.  The godly person has perished from the land, and there is no upright person among men.

“All of them lie in wait for bloodshed; each of them hunts the other with a net.  Concerning evil, both hands do it well.  The prince asks, also the judge, for a bribe, and a great man speaks the desire of his soul’ so they weave it together.”  Micah 7:1-3

When you were a kid did you ever ask one of your parents to go somewhere or do something with friends and when they hesitated you added that everybody was doing it?  Most of us did.

When we look around us today, values have deteriorated like melting ice.  Few remember where the solid ground is because it is politically correct to slip and slide around, lost from the idea of godliness and grace through faith.

If you aren’t careful you might begin to wonder where God is!  Can He be watching?  Does He care?  The truth is He knows exactly what is happening and is orchestrating His world for our good and His glory!  That we can depend on!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

·        USA – that the Lord would demonstrate His power in an unexpected and uniting way during these times of unrest and confusion.  Help hearts settle and rest on You alone.
·        Barbara – my sweet sister-in-law, who made an urgent trip to a rapid response clinic, thinking something was caught in her throat.  They did not find anything apparent and took X-rays and scheduled a CT scan, only to find, unexpectantly a spot on her lung.  She returns to the doctors on Tuesday to understand what this means.  Please pray there is nothing there to be concerned about.  And pray for Tim as he waits with her.
·        Deborah’s sister – this is an unspoken request and urgent.
·        Sergio – lost his job and now looking again.  He was recently diagnosed with adult-onset diabetes.  Was living with his brother, but has been asked to move out, leaving him homeless.
·        Claudio – In an exhausting and emotional battle with liver cancer.  Pray for his health carers to be compassionate and wise and for Elea, his wife, that she has the extra strength and hope to hold his hand through this.
·        Sue Furbee and husband, Sam – no additional updates but please keep praying for her recovery and for Sam’s care and devotion.  For more information and to make a contribution for the high costs of the procedures visit their GoFundMe page:  https://www.gofundme.com/sue-furbee
·        Buddy & Susan Father, You know their needs as they travel home to the States for their first furlough in over 20 years.  Guard their health and provide travelling mercies and the kindness of Your special angels along their journey.  Bless them with the warmth and welcome that only family and real friends provide!
·        Toron – finishing his high school studies and needing strength, focus and confidence, especially with maths.
