Pray for your pastor

“’For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.  But as for you, you have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to stumble by the instruction; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi,’ says the Lord of hosts.  ‘So I also have made you despised and abased before all the people, just as you are not keeping My ways, but are showing partiality in the instruction.’” Malachi 2:7-9

[Jesus teaching] “…’but whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in Me to stumble, it is better for him, that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea.  Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks!  For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes.’” Matthew 18:6-7

As we move closer to the time of Jesus' decision to die in our place so we could live for eternity, it is critical to be praying for your pastor and the leaders of your church that they stay protected and pure in their hearts, focused on God’s clear and unadulterated Word, so they can be sure to lead God’s people safely through dark times.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene
