Confusing Ourselves with God

Karen Peck & New River - Four Days Late [Live]

“Nations will see and be ashamed of all their might.  They will put their hand on their mouth, their ears will be deaf…They will come trembling out of their fortresses; to the Lord our God they will come in dread, and they will be afraid before Thee.

“Who is a God like Thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession?  He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in unchanging love.  He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities underfoot.  Yet, Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.”  Micah 7:16-19

I have limited patience.  Most of us would have to admit that we are the same.  We have a breaking point…a point of no return…a line that just should not be crossed.   Our Heavenly Father, however, is, thankfully, not like we are.

The problem we have is we confuse our weakness with His strength.  We make dangerous assumptions of how He will react.  Yet our Father God wants us to turn to Him when we are in need so He can show us the way to peace for our good and His glory!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

·        USA – that the Lord would demonstrate His power in an unexpected and uniting way during these times of unrest and confusion.  Help hearts settle and rest on You alone.
·        Barbara – the news was encouraging, and she will have to return to a cardiac specialist in three months.  The spot on the X-ray was as we have prayed, nothing to worry about.  Thank you and thank you for praying for Tim who supports her daily.
·        Deborah’s sister – this is an unspoken request and urgent.
·        Edna – the wife of the staff evangelist (Philippines Ambassadors for Christ) was rushed back to the hospital to be put on dialysis.  They need your prayers for the restoration of her health, the wisdom of the doctors and that the Lord provides for their growing financial needs.
·        Sergio – lost his job and now looking again.  He was recently diagnosed with adult-onset diabetes.  Was living with his brother, but has been asked to move out, leaving him homeless.
·        Claudio – In an exhausting and emotional battle with liver cancer.  Pray for his health carers to be compassionate and wise and for Elea, his wife, that she has the extra strength and hope to hold his hand through this.
·        Sue Furbee and husband, Sam – no additional updates but please keep praying for her recovery and for Sam’s care and devotion.  For more information and to make a contribution for the high costs of the procedures visit their GoFundMe page:  https://www.gofundme.com/sue-furbee
·        Buddy & Susan Father, You know their needs as they travel home to the States for their first furlough in over 20 years.  Guard their health and provide travelling mercies and the kindness of Your special angels along their journey.  Bless them with the warmth and welcome that only family and real friends provide!
