LIKE THAT FROG

“Hear my prayer, O Lord!  And let my cry for help come to You.  Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress; incline Your ear to me; in the day when I call answer me quickly.  For my days have been consumed in smoke, and my bones have been scorched like a hearth.

“My heart has been smitten like grass and has withered away, indeed, I forget to eat my bread.  Because of the loudness of my groaning my bones cling to my flesh.  I have become like an owl of the waste places.  I lie awake, I have become like a lonely bird on a housetop.”  Psalm 102:1-7

Looking around today the world seems to be ‘hell bend on heading for hell’.  Slowly, like that proverbial frog, who once enjoyed the cool water in the pan he was swimming in - the heat is slowly rising.  The frog moment-by-moment loses more and more strength to struggle to safety.

When we despair, we must stop and crawl into the protective care of our heavenly Father, whisper our prayers of concern for a world going mad and give Him our sadness and grief.  There is no other way to regain our strength.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

PS:  Please pray for this ministry.  This is the 20th year of endeavouring to serve others in His name to offer a smattering of Scripture daily.  Find my statement of faith by clicking (or cut and paste this link into your Web browser):  https://especiallyhislove.blogspot.com   You can find the WeakDay Devotion online by doing a Google search for “WeakDay Devotion”  (Also, there is a “Google Blogger” App you can download to read them on your phone.)
