“O Lord, Thy hand is lifted up yet
they do not see it. They see Thy zeal
for the people and are put to shame.
Indeed fire will devour [consume] Thine enemies. Lord Thou will establish peace for us, since
Thou hast also performed for us all our
works. O Lord our God, other masters
besides Thee have ruled us; but through Thee alone we confess Thy name …
“ … Come, my people, enter into
your rooms, and close your doors behind you; hide for a little while, until
indignation runs its course. For behold,
the Lord is about to come out from His place to punish the inhabitants of the
earth for their iniquity; and the earth will reveal her bloodshed, and will no
longer cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:11-13, 20-21
[Jesus teaching] “’I am the
door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved ….’” John 10:9a
This life is but a vapour -- like
the fog that rises in the morning -- ever so short. God promised He will return to judge the
earth. Those who have refused the Father’s
gracious offer -- those who have turned away from the hope of His sacrifice
will have no place to hide. Only His
children will be hidden securely behind the door of His precious, unfailing and
ultimate protection. There is no other
hope.
Take care with love, especially
His! Your servant and friend in Christ,
who still prays for you each morning.
Darlene
