“The fool
has said in his heart, ‘There is not God,’ they are corrupt, and have committed
abominable injustice; there is no one who does good. God has looked down from heaven upon the sons
of men to see if there is anyone who understands, who seeks after God.
“Every one
of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is no one
who does good, not even one. Have the
workers of wickedness no knowledge, who eat up [consume] My people as through they are
bread and have not called upon God?
There they
were in great fear where no fear had been, for God scattered the bones of him
who encamped against you; you put them to shame, because God had rejected
them. Oh, that the salvation of Israel
would come out of Zion! When God restores His captive people, let Lacob
rejoice, let Israel be glad.” Psalm 53
I don’t know
about you, but I have never personally met an atheist. I’ve heard debates between them and Christians,
read about them and wondered about them.
Then on Thursday, while catching up with two new friends, one of them
remarked that there were ‘a lot of religious stuff’ on my Facebook pages. I gently shared my love of the Bible, and
left it there to see if there was any interest.
What I
wasn’t expecting was that the other person said, ever so boldly, that he was
and had always been an atheist. Boy, did
I ever start praying and hoped the topic would just settle … just like that it
did. But I can’t get over it and know
that not only will I be praying for this person, but will be catching up with
them next month. How very exciting … “The
fool has said in his heart…there is no God,’
Take care
with love, especially His! Your servant
and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning. Darlene

USA – that the Lord would demonstrate His
power in unexpected and uniting way during these times of unrest and
