Guy Penrod - Amazing Love/Word Of God Speak

“Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude is parched with thirst.  Therefore Sheol has enlarged its throne and opened its mouth without measure; and Jerusalem’s splendour, her multitude, her din of revelry and the jubilant within her, descent into it.

“So the common man will be humbled and the man of importance abased, the eyes of the proud also will be abased.  But the Lord of hosts will be exalted in judgment.  And the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.  Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, and strangers will eat [consume] in the waste places of the wealthy.” Isaiah 5:13-17

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17

Do you ever feel like the world has lost the plot?  People dying with diseases no one knew about before, others shooting people with weapons we could not imagine previously, waste in mountains as the world moves into the surprising mode of disposability rather than responsibility.

Where is the hope?  Why keep trying?  How can we know that anything we do really makes any difference?  Well, the Lord’s arm is not too short (Isaiah 59:1) and He does not miss anything.  Our encouragement and wisdom are in the pages of His amazing love letter to us!  It is up to us to keep reading it!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

PS:  Please pray for this ministry.  This is the 20th year of endeavouring to serve others in His name to offer a smattering of Scripture daily.  Find my statement of faith by clicking (or cut and paste this link into your Web browser):  https://especiallyhislove.blogspot.com   You can find the WeakDay Devotion online by doing a Google search for “WeakDay Devotion”  (Also, there is a “Google Blogger” App you can download to read them on your phone.)
