More Blind Vision

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.  For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.

"For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

"For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees?  But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it."  Romans 8:18-25

Like being caught with our hand in a universal cookie jar, we look around to see the face of our heavenly Father and realize how poorly the earth and all that is in it has been treated.

Like a new god, environmentalism pops up to capture our imaginations -- thinking somehow by our own will and activities we can fix it - we can make it all better.

God's plan provides the only answer to today's wasting of resources, destruction of animals, plants and the paving over of amazingly beautiful "natural wonders".

In His eagerness to catch man's attention, He has allowed the deterioration to continue (in respect to His original curse on man's choice to take their own way) all to bring our attention and reverence to Him.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
