Faster and Faster and Faster

"The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it?  I, the Lord, search the heart.  I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds." Jeremiah 17:9-10

“Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:31

“’Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.’” Matthew 11:28-30

There’s a quote in “Einstein’s Dreams” by Allen Lightman that seems to have surreptitiously become part of my lifestyle for the last several years:  "When a person comes out of his front door at sunrise, he hits the ground running, catches up with his office, hurries up and down flights of stairs, works at a desk, is propelled in circles, gallops home at the end of the day."

Why such a fixation on speed?  Because in this world time passes more slowly for people in motion.  Thus everyone travels at high velocity, to gain time.”  What about you?  Do you have enough time to spend with your loving heavenly Father?

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
