“Can the prey be taken from the
mighty man, or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?’ Surely, thus says the Lord ‘Even the captives
of the mighty man will be taken away, and the prey of the tyrant will be
rescued; for I will contend with the one who contends with you, and I will save
your sons.
“’I will feed [consume] your oppressors with their own flesh, and they
will become drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine, and all flesh will
know that I, the Lord, am your Saviour and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of
Jacob.’” Isaiah 49:24-26
Remember ‘Let my people go!’ -- when
the Israelites were freed from Egypt after Passover. When they left, the Egyptians gave them heaps
of stuff to take with them. And I know
God had some great reasons for this.
Here again, God works a strange
miracle for His chosen people as He proved again to the world that He is God by
doing the impossible. He caused warriors
to set their captives free, and these
warriors even returned the plunder they had stolen from those captives.
We should never doubt that God
will fulfil His promises. He will even
do the impossible to make them come true.
Now isn’t THAT neat!!
Take care with love, especially
His! Your servant and friend in Christ,
who still prays for you each morning.
Darlene

USA – that the Lord would
demonstrate His power in unexpected and uniting way during these times of
unrest and confusion. Help hearts settle
and rest in Him alone. And let the truth
