CityAlight ~ Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me (Lyrics)

“’Is Israel a slave?  Or is he a homeborn servant?  Why has he become a prey?  The young lions have roared at him, they have roared loudly.  And they have made his land a waste; His cities have been destroyed, without inhabitant.  Also, the men of Memphis and Tehpanhes have shaved [consumed] the crown of your head.

“’Have you not done this to yourself by your forsaking the Lord your God when He led you in the way?  But now what are you doing on the road to Egypt to drink the waters of the Nile?  Or what are you doing on the road to Assyria, to drink the waters of the Euphrates?

“’Your own wickedness will correct you, and your apostasies will reprove you, know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the Lord your God, and the dread of Me is not in you,’ declares the Lord God of hosts.” Jeremiah 2:14-19

Have you ever found yourself in a mess?  That feeling when you don’t want to look up into the eyes of your wonderful Saviour, Jesus?  The Lord LONGS and WAITS for you to call on Him when things seem hopeless and you feel you are too unworthy to even approach the throne to ask for forgiveness.

How can it be that undeserved forgiveness is waiting for you when you choose to turn away from His will and way for your life!  Why is it so easy to disobey!  And yet it is … and it is at that moment you must remember GRACE!

Grace tells you there is nothing you can do to make your heavenly Father love you less -- as there is nothing you can do to make Him love you more.  His love is constant, unchanging and everlasting.  The price has been paid for your sin and He longs for you to trust Him in everything!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene
