Lessons

“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make our abode with him.  He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

“’These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.  But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, andbring to your remembrance all that I said to you.’”  John 14:23-26

“When we want to learn of Christ, and to know the things God wants us to know, it is in a humble dependence upon the Holy Spirit that He becomes our teacher.”*

I marvel personally at how patient the Holy Spirit is with me!  He is determined to teach me how to grow into the image of Jesus so others may be drawn to Him.  It reminds me of the Scripture when Jesus said all men would be drawn to Him when He was on the Cross, like in the time of Moses (John 3:14-16).  As we learn, we nail more and more of our past and our present wilfulness to the Cross, so we can walk away more attractive for His purposes!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
