Unforgiveable - 4

“I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wishes to do good.  For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.  Wretched man that I am!  Who will set me free from the body of this death?

“Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!  So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.  There is therefore NOW no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you FREE from the law of sin and of death.” Romans 7:21-8:2

“It is important to note that there is no exception clause written into these verses [that we have been quoting about forgiveness], that is, ‘...cleanses us from ALL sin, unless you happen to be guilty of the unforgiveable sin, in which case you will still be guilty of that’!  No, forgiveness of sin is spoken of as all-inclusive, and there is no allowance made anywhere for someone who is only partially forgiven because of their guilt of something that is unforgiveable.  This MUST be significant.”*

Remember, Satan wants you compromised and weak and he has many ways to do this.  If Satan can convince you that you are not good enough, that you are so bad you can’t be forgiven, that you are the rare and unusual one who HAS committed this “unforgiveable” sin, then he has you caged and neutralised.  He knows that Christians are easy to confuse, because many do not even look at His Word to remember the truth!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
