All Gone!

“Now it came about when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spoke to him, saying, ‘This is what your slave did to me,’ that his anger burned.  So Joseph’s master took him and put him into the jail, the place where the kings’s prisoners were confined; and he was there in the jail.  But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favour in the sight of the chief jailer.”  Genesis 39:19-21

“And he restored the chief cupbearer to his office, and he put the cup into Pharaoh’s hand; but he handed the chief baker, just as Joseph had interpreted to them.  Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.”  Genesis 40:21-23

“Now it happened at the end of two full years that Pharaoh had a dream, -- Then the chief cupbearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, ‘I would make mention today of my own offenses. – Now a Hebrew youth was with us there, a servant of the captain of the bodyguard, and we related them to him, and he interpreted our dreams for us.  To each one he interpreted according to his own dream.  And it came about that just as he interpreted for us,” Genesis 41:1, 12-13

Today, there IS no condemnation, and God has NOTHING against me.  The conflict is over, the guilt has been taken away, and we are not condemned.  Remember, that whenever, as a Christian we feel condemned it is Satanic in origin and not of God.  In this area, Satan must be resisted.”*

Once we offer our lives to the Lord and accept His gift of eternal life, we are also free to take advantage of God’s amazing grace.  We can live our lives as we if we are not His children.  Our hearts will always be heavy because He came to set us free for a reason - to be His witnesses in a dark and lost world -- a world where evil compromises good.

Joseph was innocent, and must have grown discouraged, yet he did not waver or wonder...he trusted.  One of Satan’s greatest tricks is to keep us lost in guilt for past sins.  Have you memorised the powerful promise of Romans 8:1, yet?  Today would be a good day to do so.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
