Is Jesus - Phil Wickham (Lyrics)
by Holy Spirit Music
“Now there was a day when the sons of God (angels) came
to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan, the adversary of God and
accuser of man also came among them. The
Lord said to Satan, ‘From where have you come?’
Then Satan answered the Lord, ‘From roaming around on the earth and from
walking around on it.’
“The Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered and
reflected on My servant Job? For there
is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God
with reverence and abstains from and turns away from evil, because he honours
God.’
“Then Satan answered the Lord, ‘Does Job fear God for
nothing? Have You not put a hedge of
protection around him and his house and all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands and
conferred prosperity and happiness upon him, and his possessions have increased
in the land.’” Job 16-10
The WeakEnd Assignment continues in Mark 5. Please find an hour and a place where you can
focus uninterrupted. Have your Bible,
notebook, something to write with and a refreshment. Once settled, quiet your heart and pray the
Lord guides you through this chapter to find new insights.
Then read through chapter 5 of Mark. You may wish to take notes along the way or
even underline what seems especially meaningful for you to remember. Then answer these questions:
1. What
do you know about the individual who greeted Jesus as He arrived?
2. What
happened when Legion saw Jesus?
3. What
did Legion want from Jesus?
4. Why
did Legion have to ask permission from Jesus?
5. What
are three things that happened after Legion left the man?
6. Why
do you think the people wanted Jesus to leave?
7. What
did the man want and what did he do instead?
8. After
Jesus crosses to the other side of the sea who was there to greet Him and for
what reasons?
9. Who
touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and for what reason?
10.
What did Jesus sense?
11.
Was Jesus late to see the child or do you think
it was important that things happened the way they did?
12.
Jesus told each of the three main characters in
this chapter a different thing after healing them. List them and consider why there was a
difference in His directions.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)
