4 TYPES of REPETITION | Bible Study Tips by Masterpiece Bible

“ … on the day that Moses had finished setting up the tabernacle and had anointed and consecrated it and all its furniture, and the altar and all its utensils; he also anointed them and consecrated them for holy use.  Then the leaders of Israel, the heads of their father’s households, made offerings.  These were the leaders of the tribes; they were the ones who were over the men who were numbered. –

“Now the one who presented his offering on the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah; and his offering was one silver dish, the weight of which was a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver basin of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; one golden bowl of ten shekels, full of incense;

“one young bull, one ram, one male lamb one year old, as a burndt offering; one male goat as a sin offering; and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, five male lambs one year old.” Numbers 7:1-2, 12-17 (the precise details of the offering is repeated twelve times)

“According to good editorial procedures, many passages would have been deleted from the Bible if it were man-made.  Long lists of names, repetition of rituals, duplications in the Gospels would all have been omitted and smoothed out for easy reading.  But God has left them in for some definite purpose if nothing else than to assure us of His interest and concern in every small detail of our lives.[1]

The Bible is God’s Word and it has been gathered together for you to educate, inspire, strengthen and intrigue you to dive deeper into the words.  When you do, you find such delight, beauty and clarity there.  Keep reading!
