the Divine Inspiration of Scripture from Ligonier Ministries

“As some were talking about the temple, that it was decorated with beautiful stones and consecrated offerings of magnificent gifts of gold which were displayed on the walls and hung in the porticoes, He said, ‘As for all these things which you see, the time will come when there will not be one stone left on another that will not be torn down.’

“They asked Him, ‘Teacher, when will these things happen?  And what will be the sign when these things are about to happen?’

“He said, ‘Be careful and see to it that you are not misled; for many will come in My name appropriating for themselves the name Messiah which belongs to Me alone, saying, ‘I am He,’ and ‘The time is near!’

“’Do not follow them.  When you hear of wars and disturbances, evil unrest, revolts, uprisings, do not panic for these things must take place first, but the end will not come immediately.’” Luke 21:5-9

“Prophecy already fulfilled and even now coming to pass is solid proof that the other predictions will also be fulfilled.  In spite of efforts to discount it, the Bible still holds true.[1]

When you were a kid, did you ever tell people what you were going to grow up to be?  I wanted to be a doctor and a ballerina.  Neither one came true.

Although this may seem a silly parallel to the amazing predictions that lace the Bible, it is as unlikely that I would have been able to predict my future, any more than the Bible would have been able to predict the future of our world, if it was just a book.

Yet, even today, prophecies detailed in Scripture are being revealed.  And every time they are, it should help solidify our commitment to His Truth and our willingness to share His Truth with those who do not yet know.

Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still prays for you each day)

Pray for those in full-time service

Pray to uphold our Christian leaders – that they never compromise God’s Word, are bold and courageous in the face of evil.  Pray for their wisdom, safety, ingenuity, strength and for their families.

Pray for those with ongoing health concerns

Many of us have family, friends and loved ones with fragile health.  Pray God takes special care with them and protects them in practical ways and that the Lord will have mercy on them during this challenging time.

Pray for the World
