THREE FINGERS BACK

[Jophar rebukes Job] “’If you would direct your heart right and spread out your hand to Him, if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents; Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, and you would be steadfast and not fear.

“’For you would forget your trouble, as waters that have passed by, you would remember it.  Your life would be brighter than noonday; darkness would be like the morning.  Then you would trust, because there is hope; and you would look around and rest securely.

“’You would lie down and none would disturb you, and many would entreat your favour.  But the eyes of the wicked will fall [consume], and there will be no escape for them; and their hope is to breathe their last.’” Job 11:13-20

[Jesus teaching] “’Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?  Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye.’ And behold, the log is in your own eye?  You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.’” Matthew 7:3-5

It is easy to see what is wrong in another person’s life, yet, none of us can see the truth in another’s life.  God is the only perfect and righteous judge of our hearts.

They say when you point at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you.  Jesus taught the same lesson.  How important it is to be careful of judging anyone.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

  • ·        El Paso (22 people killed – 27 wounded) and Dayton Ohio (9 dead – 26 wounded)- by random shooters.  Pray for the families and friends affected, the law enforcement officers affected who will be dealing with the ‘alleged’ perpetrators (one was killed the other captured) and for wisdom and compassion for the health care providers (physical and emotional) dealing with those wounded.  Finally, pray these two cities look to the Great Comforter as they begin to recover and heal and that the nation bows the knee to Christ.
