Example of Harmony

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon, coming down upon the mountains of Zion for there the Lord commanded the blessing – life for ever.” Psalm 133

“And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. And everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together, and had all things in common;” Acts 2:42-43

Harmony is good, pleasant and precious. Like refreshing dew on a thirsty mountain it sustains all those about. In the church harmony can get lost as people disagree on “technology” (how the Church is to be worked out in the world) where God stresses the needs of the people. Harmony in the Church is a critical example to the world; it helps the Body itself function well and it renews and revitalises our own energy to identify and “work in” our own personal ministries.

Stay near God's Word. Take care. Your servant & friend in Christ, Darlene

PS: No new reports on Carla’s Mom in the hospital or her Dad so just keep praying for her family. Pray for Ian and Gerarda (recovery from serious injuries); continue to pray for David and Adrian with ongoing health battles; and for Adrian’s uncle who is growing older and more tired.
