Carla's Mom & Dad

“How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, you will be happy and it will be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine, within your house, your children like olive plants around your table. Behold, for thus shall the man be who fears the Lord.” Psalm 128:1-4

“Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, ‘Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” Matthew 19:13-14

Carla’s Mom had eleven children for the man she loves. She loves the Lord and demonstrated that love in most everything she did from parceling out the food (trying never to miss someone), to making the beds or sweeping the floor. Her husband provided for them with hard labour -- not unlike some of the disciples -- as a fisherman. Both are rather no-nonsense people but fun and creative who never missed an opportunity to be in the church or helping others.

The eleven children are in various stages of growth in the Lord. Most all are now gathering to the bedsides of their Mom and Dad. Both have had strokes and are home now, but growing weaker. The example they have always had in their children’s lives continues to live through their children. Please pray for them.

Stay near God's Word. Take care. Your servant & friend in Christ, Darlene

PS: Please pray for Ian and Gerarda (recovery from serious injuries). continue to pray for David and Adrian -- for their health battles. And pray for Adrian’s uncle who is growing older and more tired.
