ASSIGNMENT: Look up!

“To Thee I lift up my eyes, O Thou who art enthroned in the heavens! Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He shall be gracious to us.” Psalm 123:1-4

“’And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.’” Luke 21:27-28

I don’t know if any of you have read the “Left Behind” series; if you have you would likely be struck by the first couple chapters of the first book as the Rapture takes place. Those who are left behind question, not just where are the others, but why they are left behind. Those who assumed their church work and outward behaviours were the way to Heaven were the ones who were understandably shaken.

Assignment: For the weekend take at least one hour to consider His return.
