“Open to me the gates of righteousness; I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to the Lord.  This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous will enter through it.  I shall give thanks to You, for You have answered me, and You have become my salvation.

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone.  This is the Lord’s doing’ it is marvelous in our eyes.  This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:19-24

For this WeakEnd Assignment:

1.    Set aside an hour and find a place where you will not be disturbed.

2.    Bring your Bible, notebook, a writing implement and a refreshment.

3.    Settle in and pray the Lord will use the Psalms in a new way for you this week.

4.    Look over this list – these are all the cross references we reviewed in the series on Jesus quoting Old Testament verses in His ministry.

5.    Select at least two Psalms from the list to read, then select one of them.

6.    Write the Psalm in your notebook and using the technique we used earlier in this series, pray the Psalm for your circumstance for today.

7.    Take time to thank the Lord for His many blessings through His precious Word.
