Or search YouTube for Isaiah 55:6-9 Song (NKJV) Seek the LORD While

He May Be Found (Samuel Mui/Esther Mui)

“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him for salvation while He is near.  Let the wicked leave behind his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion and mercy on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

“’For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth.  So are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.

“’For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, making it bear and sprout, and providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so will My word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void, useless, without result, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.’” Isaiah 55:6-11

“To read the Bible with an open mind and a sincere prayer for understanding, will bring more light. No one will ever know all that God has written, for His ways are above our ways, and His thoughts are above our thoughts.  But we can know enough [from reading it] to see that we are sinners and need a Saviour and that Jesus Christ is the Saviour provided.[1]

We just need to read a little bit each day.  Hopefully, God will use the Scripture above in word and song inspire you today to read even more!

Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still prays for you each day)

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

·      Andrew and Toyoko M – must make an emergency trip from Sydney to Japan today.  Please pray for travelling mercies and that their time is filled with surprising blessings and that everything goes smoothly for them and for their safe return to new challenges.

·      Family of Uncle Dwight – (brother of Doris) passed into glory over the weekend, after a life of service as a pastor and example of loving Christ.  Please pray for blessing for those who have stood by him and benefitted from his lifetime of service (he would have been near 100).

·      Kim – lost her Mom earlier this year and recently lost her Dad.  She needs prayers while she deals with the loss of her sweet parents.

·      Rozzy and Jono – will soon board a plane from Sydney to Vancouver Island to serve on the mission field to work with the youth in the mid-north coast (the neediest of the Gospel location in North America).  Pray for travelling mercies, robust health and that God will grant them a child.

·      Sophie – three-year old daughter of a friend is now home from an extended stay in the hospital but still frail and unwell.  Please continue to pray for her, her parents and health carers that they will discover the problem and fix it.

·      Tim – my brother – for his strength and wisdom and that he rests safely and soundly in the arms of the Lord while he deals with growing health difficulties and stresses.  Thanksgiving and praise that the Lord has provided a new health carer who seems competent and skilled.

·      Ray Sr. – battling cancer and has been moved to respite care.  Pray the Lord opens His heart to the Truth of salvation and through this time, relationships with family are strengthened and that Ray Jr and Kathy would be able to know of his decision.

·      Jenny S – Bible teacher at a local Bible school for curiosity under change, as the vision of her organisation changes with new leadership.  Help her identify the balance of her unique contribution with the new focus.  Pray the Lord maintains her health as she walks through this time of stress.

·      David – as his health waxes and wanes during this challenging time.  Pray for Heidi who cares for him -- and his little companion dog, Sparky.  Pray God watches over him and steadies his steps, clears his sight and strengthens his heart.

·      Cathy – as she faces stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  Her chemo has begun.  She is Barb (my sister-in-law’s) sister-in-law.  They have a beautiful family.  Please pray for them and their health carers as they travel through this journey.

·      Pat and Isobel – as they serve tirelessly in challenging times.  Pray the Lord refreshes and strengthens them.

·      Hans – a dear friend in Germany, continues his immunotherapy for lung cancer.  Pray for his ongoing strength through the pain, patience and God’s mercy.  Continue to pray for his healthcare providers and that he is surrounded by faithful and compassionate Christian friends who will support him through this journey.  Pray for his Mom (age 83) who is unwell herself, that their time together will be filled with extraordinary good memories and lots of love.

·      Callilah - a lost child.  Pray the Lord will capture her heart.

Pray for those in full-time service

Pray to uphold our Christian leaders – that they never compromise God’s Word, are bold and courageous in the face of evil.  Pray for their wisdom, safety, ingenuity, strength and for their families.

Pray for those with ongoing health concerns

Many of us have family, friends and loved ones with fragile health.  Pray God takes special care with them and protects them in practical ways and that the Lord will have mercy on them during this challenging time.

Pray for the World
