the Bible is inspired? | GotQuestions.org
“So we have the prophetic word made more certain. You do well to pay close attention to it as
to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the light breaks
through the gloom and the morning star arises in your hearts.
“But understand this first of all, that no prophecy of
Scripture is a matter of -- or comes from -- one’s own personal or special interpretation,
for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the
Holy Spirit spoke from God.” II Peter 1:19-21
“All Scripture is God-breathed and given by Divine
inspiration, and is profitable for instruction, for conviction of sin, for
correction of error and restoration to obedience, for training in righteousness,
“… learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both
publicly and privately – behaving honourable with personal integrity and moral
courage; so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and
thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
II Timothy 3:16-17
“’God breathed’ to godly men, the prophets and apostles, and
they wrote what God told them to write even though they didn’t fully understand
the meaning of all that they wrote.
“The Bible claims to be the Word of God, and therefore the
only guide for spiritual truth. It is an
accurate history of the good and the bad, the facts and the failures of men,
the deeds and words of Satan, the dealings and will of God.
“To say that the Bible is the Word of God does not mean that
every word is His will or His command for us.
It is an accurate record of all God wants us to know.”[1]

UPDATE
-Israel – for the time being
there is a cease fire and the clean-up and finger pointing is beginning. Many on both sides have been wounded and some
have died. Pray God protects His chosen
people and land as only He can. Let His
power and love of Israel be demonstrated clearly for all to see and let there
be peace for now. We must be ever
watchful.
·

THANKSGIVING - Louise,

· Isaias and Judith (Ambassadors for Christ the Philippines) – the
entire Catorce family represent this conservative, Bible-based ministry in a remarkably difficult mission field. They have maintained a teaching seminary and
discipling ministry there for dozens of years.
They are both facing serious health issues and need your fervent prayers. Judith has just come through complicated back
surgery and is recovering. Please visit
their new website: https://afcph.org/ to learn more.
Pray our Father keep these servants strong and restores their
health. They
still need an additional $4,000 for the surgery. Thank the Lord for those who have now donated
$8,000). If you are unable to donate,
please consider sending a note of encouragement to Isaias Catorce, who teaches
and leads the groups at icatorce@gmail.com
