Does the Bible tell one story ? Pastor Landon
“But evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse,
deceiving and being deceived. But as for
you, continue in the things that you have learned and of which you are
convinced, holding tightly to the truths, knowing from whom you learned them,
and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings –
“Hebrew Scriptures- which are able to give you the wisdom
that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus – surrendering your
entire self to Him and having absolute confidence in His wisdom, power and
goodness.
“Ass Scripture is God-breathed – given by Divine
inspiration – and is profitable for instruction, for conviction of sin, for
correction of error and restoration to obedience, for training in righteousness
– learning to live in conformity to God’s will, bot publicly and privately –
“behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral
courage; so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and
thoroughly equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:13-17
“All Scripture is not written directly to us. Some of it regards the nation of Israel, some
is pre-Christ and addressed to the Jews.
But ALL of it is for us to profit by and to study.[1]”
It would be difficult to choose a personal favourite life
verse, but if pressed, I would point to Isaiah 55:11. The story of my walk to His cross started
because of that verse.
I didn’t know it at the time, but just reading the Bible
over and over again from the age of nine (when I got my first Bible), broke my
heart and lead me gently to the grace of the Father.
At nine, most of the stories were either spectacular, silly,
impossible or wholly puzzling and mostly irrelevant – yet, I read on. Tomorrow, more on Isaiah 55:11.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)

UPDATE
-Israel – for the time being
there is a cease fire and the clean-up and finger pointing is beginning. Many on both sides have been wounded and some
have died. Pray God protects His chosen
people and land as only He can. Let His
power and love of Israel be demonstrated clearly for all to see and let there
be peace for now. We must be ever
watchful.
·
Rozzy and Jono –

discipling ministry there for dozens of years.
They are both facing serious health issues and need your fervent prayers. Judith has just come through complicated back
surgery and is recovering. Please visit
their new website: https://afcph.org/ to learn more.
Pray our Father keep these servants strong and restores their
health. They
still need an additional $4,000 for the surgery. Thank the Lord for those who have now donated
$8,000). If you are unable to donate,
please consider sending a note of encouragement to Isaias Catorce, who teaches
and leads the groups at icatorce@gmail.com
