God Of All My Days - Casting Crowns - with Lyrics

“And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

“For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  For one will hardly die for a righteous man, though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:3-8

  1. Take time to watch the video.  Listen to the words and focus your heart on your loving heavenly Father.
  2. Then get something to drink, grab your Bible and notebook.
  3. Find a fresh page and mark down Romans 5:3-8.
  4. Then head for a quiet place where you can sit quietly for at least an hour.
  5. Read the passage through (you might benefit from reading from verse 1).
  6. Then write it out in your notebook as a personal statement.
For example:

‘And not only this, Father, but I also exult and rejoice in the tribulations that I’m facing because I know that all tribulation helps grow my ability to persevere and stand stronger in the future for the work You have set aside for me … ‘

  1. Take your time and imagine you are writing for someone who may find your notebook after you are gone to be with your Saviour.
  2. Answer the question:  ‘How do I get hope?’
  3. What does it mean to you that ‘hope does not disappoint’?
  4. Pray and thank the Lord for His loving sacrifice and the provision of all the hope He has provided for you in your life.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

PS:  Please pray for this ministry.  This is the 20th year of endeavouring to serve others in His name to offer a smattering of Scripture daily.  Find my statement of faith by clicking (or cut and paste this link into your Web browser):  https://especiallyhislove.blogspot.com   You can find the WeakDay Devotion online by doing a Google search for “WeakDay Devotion”  (Also, there is a “Google Blogger” app you can download to read them on your phone.)

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS and some UPDATES too!

  • USA – that the Lord would demonstrate His power in unexpected and uniting ways during these times of unrest and confusion.  Help hearts settle and rest in Him alone.  Let the truth of God’s Word and ways overcome the drive to destroy our founding, Bible-based values.
  • Yalawe no update.  He had his surgery (cancer) on 15 October.  Please pray for his full recovery and that his health providers and family would be extra gentle with him.
  • SJ – as he struggles with circumstances he did not anticipate.  Pray for his willingness, for wisdom of his counsellors as he wanders through this dark time.  Pray for his ability to rest and forgive himself.
  • Annette and Lyle – Pray for travelling mercies as they begin the next phase of their wonderful lives together and for good health and a love that continues to bind them and their family together.
  • UPDATE - Patti – faithful daughter of Doris, wife of John.  A Proverbs 31 woman, who need strength, energy and the ability to prioritise with grace and resolve.  Pray she will grow in confidence to say ‘no’ sometimes and enjoy a new season of serving her husband.
  • Terri – her relationship of 13 years has just broken, and she needs prayers to travel through this journey.
  • Tracey – Pray Tracey finds a new role that will satisfy her and allow her to grow and share her skills and wisdom.
  • Me – Please continue to pray for humility and wisdom as I lead a Bible study at work.  (You can find the sessions here:  EspeciallyHis blog site).  Also, pray I rest and trust in the Lord to provide a new project for me and through eye surgery next Thursday.

PRAY FOR THOSE IN FULL-TIME SERVICE
