“And the Lord God said to the
serpent, ‘Because you have done this, cursed are you more than all cattle, and
more than every beast of the field; on your belly shall you go, and dust shall
you eat all the days of your life; and I will put enmity between you and the
woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and
you shall bruise Him on the heel.’” Genesis 3:14-15
“My frame was not hidden from
Thee, when I was made in secret, and skilfully wrought in the depths of the
earth. Thine eyes have seen my unformed
substance; and in Thy book they were all written, the days that were ordained
for me, when as yet there was not one of them.” Psalm 139:15-16
“’For I know the plans that I
have for you,’ declares the Lord., ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to
give you a future and a hope. Then you
will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you
search for Me with all your heart.’” Jeremiah 29:11-13
“Jesus therefore said to them
again, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers,
but the sheep did not hear them. I am
the door. If anyone enters through Me,
he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and
destroy; I came that they might have life and might have it abundantly.’”
John 10:7-10
“And he said to me, ‘These
words are faithful and true’; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the
prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond servants the things which must
shortly take pace. ‘And behold, I am
coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds
the words of the prophecy of this book.’” Revelation 22:6-7
Sinful rebellion began early. Although we can’t empathise or understand God’s
feelings, to me it must have been a sad day for Him when evil first raised its head. Yet God in His all-knowing wisdom conceived
and wove a plan so intricate and so perfect no one could imagine how effective
it proves to be throughout the ages. We
can be thankful that each of us are drawn into this plan to be included in --
not just life -- but abundant life for eternity with Him.
Take care with love, especially
His! Your servant and friend in Christ,
who still prays for you each morning.
