Is it Today?

"And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

If anyone has an ear, let him hear.  If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed.  Here is the perseverance of the faith of the saints." Revelation 13:8-10

"But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up." II Peter 3:8-10

"Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; in no way alarmed by your opponents -- which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too from God."  Philippians 1:27-28

We know that no one but the Father knows the timing of End Time events.  But perhaps they are not just at one time, but at a "rolling" time.  Meaning these indifferences and indignities to be suffered by those who cling to the Lord Jesus Christ are happening right now and have always been happening to those who believe in His promises.

Yet, we know His plan also includes an end.  Why does He delay?  He has a desire for all to have their name written in the Lamb's Book of Life!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene

URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

  • ·        Adrian - No update in days.  No answer to texts.  Many have been praying a compassionate and caring friend would come to help him through to good health.  His sister-in-law (who he has not seen in 40 years) just happens to be his primary nurse as he was hospitalised!  (Please do not forget to pray for his little companion dog, Toby, to remain healthy.  Without him I think Adrian would give up).
  • ·        Sergio - waits for news about a new job.  His ankle is healing, but slowly.  Pray for his patience during this time and that the opportunity he was recently looking into might eventuate.  He is in Mexico City and the work there, for graphic designers is rare.
  • ·        Paul - Part two of a three-part interview seemed to go well. Now one more hurdle next week.  I am growing increasingly concerned for him.  Pray he does not lose heart and continues to search.  He has not had work since 2012!!
