Paradigm Shift for Patience

"'And his lord moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him.  So shall My heavenly Father also do to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.'" Matthew 18:34-35

"Whew!  we sigh, GLAD that story is a parable.  It's a good thing God doesn't imprison the impatient in real life.  Don't be so sure He doesn't.  Self-absorption and ingratitude make for thick walls and lonely jails."*

"He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is quick-tempered exalts folly." Proverbs 14:29

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:2223

We have all we need to appropriate patience within our hearts.  It takes "putting on the sandals of Jesus Christ" and looking at the other person and/or situation with His eyes and His perspective.  So easy to forget this.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST:

·        Adrian who was once a tri-athlete with a full life, has already been in and out of hospital many times since Christmas.  After a full bone scan they discovered additional serious issues from the cancer with deteriorating vertebrae in his neck and lumbar region.

Yesterday, he had a serious and invasive procedure.  He has not contacted me yet.  I will keep you updated when I hear something.  Continue to pray for the constant care of the Lord to help him through this difficult and painful time.  Do not grow weary in your prayers for him.  You do make a difference!

·        Isaias & Judith (missionaries in Philippines).  The funeral of Isaias' father has been conducted safely and peacefully.  He thanks you for your prayers.  Their ministry is a very hard one in a difficult country.  Perhaps you would like to learn more about his work there:  Ambassadors for Christ --look for Isaias Catorce.
