Lent Begins

“Will Thou not Thyself revive us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?  Show us Thy lovingkindness, O Lord, and grant us Thy Salvation.

"I will hear what God the Lord will say; for He will speak peace to His people, to His godly ones.  But let them not turn back to folly.  Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.  Psalm 85:6-9

“To give His people the knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high shall visit us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the ‘way of peace.’”  Luke 1:77-79

“Jesus said to them, ‘It is not for you to know the times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.’”  Acts 1:8

Yesterday was the first Sunday of Lent.  We celebrate the promise of hope:  the revival of God’s Church around the world.  Pray for those around the world, those individuals you don’t know who haven’t heard about Jesus’ salvation.

And then pray for those you do know around the world who know and share the Truth of God’s saving grace through the sacrifice of His very loved Son.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
