Jesus' Kindness

"Love is patient, love is kind...I Corinthians 13:4

"And Jesus said, 'Who is the one who touched Me?'  And while they were all denying it, Peter said, 'Master, the multitudes are crowding and pressing upon You.'

"But Jesus said, 'Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me.'  And when the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling and fell down before Him, and declared in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed.

"And He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.'" Luke 8:45-48

"The kindness of Jesus.  We are quick to think of His power, His passion, and His devotion.  But those near Him knew and know God comes cloaked in kindness."

If you want illustrations of the kindness of Jesus, read the story of Zacheus (Luke 19:1-10) or His first miracle at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1-11) or the context of the story of the woman above in Luke.

Oh and by the way, want a surprise illustration of how kind Jesus is?  This is the only time Jesus uses the word daughter.  He didn't have to use this term of endearment for this wretched woman...but He did!  He is that kind to you too.  Just look around and remember!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
