Stand Alone

"The best of them is like a briar, the most upright like a thorn hedge.  The day when you post a watchman, your punishment will come.  Then their confusion will occur.  Do not trust in a neighbour; do not have confidence in a friend, from her who likes in your bosom guard your lips.

"For son treats father contemptuously, daughter rises up against her mother, daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own household." Micah 7:4-6

Micah had come to this city to let them know how disappointed the Lord was with their behaviour toward Him and His laws.  We may look at leaders and blame them for the state of our world, but trouble starts at home in the heart of the individual.

"'And brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.  And you will be hated by all on account of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.'" Matthew 10:21-22

Jesus reminds us that holding on to His Truth is dangerous too because when you stand against wrong you many times stand alone.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
