"Who
is a God like Thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the
remnant of His possession? He does not retain
His anger forever because He delights in unchanging love." Micah
7:18
"If
we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in
us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful
and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him
a liar, and His word is not in us." I John 1:8-10
"And
so He came to Simon Peter. He said to Him,
'Lord, do You wash my feet?' Jesus answered
and said to him, 'What I do you do not realise now, but you shall understand hereafter.'
"Peter
said to Him, 'Never shall You wash my feet! Jesus Answered him, 'If I do not wash you, you
have no part with Me.' Simon Peter said to
Him, 'Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.'
"Jesus
said to him, 'He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean'
and you are clean,'" John 13:6-10a
Who IS like our loving Heavenly Father! He who loves us, directs and watches our lives
from conception to grave; who offers salvation to any who will call upon His name;
and loves and directs their paths from that moment of immersion in His cleansing
sanctification. It is our part to keep using
the "soap of purity" (I John 1:9) on a daily basis to keep our hands clean
of the sin we fall into daily.
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ,
Darlene
