Peter Hollens feat. Nathan Pacheco by Peter Hollens
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in
unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them;
for God make it evident to them.
“For since the creation of the world His invisible
attributes, His eternal power and divine
nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so
that they are without excuse. For even
though they knew God, they did not honour Him as God, or give thanks; but they
became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
“Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged
the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man
and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.” Romans
1:18-23
“But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful,
evil men who push away the truth from them.
For the truth about God is known to them instinctively; God has put this
knowledge in their hearts.
“Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and
all God made, and have known of His existence and great eternal power. So they will have no excuse when they stand
before God at Judgment Day.
“Yes, they knew about Him all right, but they wouldn’t
admit it or worship Him or even thank Him for all His daily care. And after awhile they began to think up silly
ideas of what God was like and what He wanted them to do.
“The result was that their foolish minds became dark and
confused. Claiming themselves to be wise
without God, they became utter fools instead.
And then, instead of worshipping the glorious, ever-living God, they
took wood and stone and made idols for themselves, carving them to look like
mere birds and animals and snakes and puny men.” The New Living Translation
WeakEnd Assignment
Next week is Easter --the remembrance of Jesus’ death and
the celebration of His resurrection! For
the past couple of weeks, coincidentally the focus of the devotions has been on
the Commandments that Jesus quoted during His earthly ministry – which is the
rational FOR Easter. For the WeakEnd
Assignment:
1.
Find a place where you will not be interrupted
for an hour and where you can listen to the video above.
2.
Bring with you your Bible, notebook, something
to write with and a refreshment.
3.
Settle in and relax. Pray and thank the Lord for what He will show
you through His Scriptures the importance of recognising the reality of sin –
in your own life and in the lives of loved ones and strangers.
4.
Date a page in your notebook and read the
following verses.
5.
Make notes of what you find within them and what
actions you might take, especially at this Easter time from what you learn.
·
I Timothy 2:3-6
·
Isaiah 59:2
·
Romans 3:23
·
Hebrews 9:27
·
II Thessalonians 1:8-9
·
I Timothy 2:5-6
·
I Peter 3:18
·
John 1:12
·
Revelation 3:20
·
John 3:16-21
6.
List two people who may need to hear this
message. Begin today to pray for them. And pray you might have an opportunity by
Easter to share even a little of the Truth of the purpose of this holiday with
them.
7.
Then enjoy the video and the joy it brings from
our neediness!
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)

their children – Simon (my pastor) has been chosen to support the
Lord’s work in a new, more far-reaching way.

many decisions that now must be made.

– seems to be stable now after doctors put a shunt in his skull to drain fluid
from around the brain to reduce pressure. Pray for his health carers as they continue

Please continue to pray for her that she does well, makes good decisions
and continues having a good relationship with the Lord.
