Wonderful Merciful Savior // Sounds Like Reign
“For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is
not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with
perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
“And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness;
for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes
for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows
what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according
to toe will of God.
“And we know that God causes all things to work together
for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His
purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also
predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the
first-born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called;
and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He
also glorified.” Romans 8:24-30
As ‘time-bound’ children we cannot imagine how God sees all
and all times and over all time. For us
it is a step-by-step making of a personal history and faith grows as we step
through our life. Faith, you see, means
believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse.
We all experience those times of blinding insight into how
something that seemed so hurtful, wrong and difficult in the past actually did
work for our good. It made us stronger
and more dependent on a closer walk with the Lord. If we look at God through the lens of today,
we can easily miss how far we have come by His design.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays with and for you each day)
