the Ball Brothers.
“And we have come to know and have believed the love
which God has for us. God is love, and
the one who abides in love abides in God.
By this, love is perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the
day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out
fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected
in love, We love, because He first loved
us.
“If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he
is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot
love God whom he has not seen. And this
commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his
brother also.” I John 4:16-21
Frederick Buechner wrote, “To be commanded to love God at all, let alone in the wilderness, is like being commanded to be well when we are sick, to sing for joy when we are dying of thirst, to run when our legs are broken.
But this is the first and great commandment,
nonetheless. Even in the wilderness –
especially in the wilderness – you shall love Him.”
Loving God with our heart, no matter what storm rages around
us, no matter how deep our distracting blessings, is for our good. It stirs the hearts of those around us to the
glory of God!
Take care, your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene (who
prays for you each morning.)

Isaias and Judith
(Ambassadors for Christ the Philippines) – the Philippines is a
remarkably difficult mission field and Isaias and Judith and their entire
family have maintained a teaching and discipling ministry there for dozens of
years. It is a difficult mission field
for so many reasons. Please take a
moment to visit their new website: https://afcph.org/ to learn more. Pray our Father keep these servants strong,
in good health, safe and supported and that they keep a balance in their
lives. They
need funds badly now. It would only take a moment to send encouragement
to Isaias Catorce, who teaches and leads the groups at icatorce@gmail.com
