Apostle of Christ - by GraceDigitalNetwork

[Paul, the Apostle speaking] “’Are they servants of Christ?  (I speak as if insane) I more so; in far more labours, in far more imprisonments, beaten times with out number, often in danger of death.  Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes.  Three times I was beaten with rods, one I was stone, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep.

“’I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren; I have been in labour and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.

“’Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure upon me of concern for all the churches.  Who is weak without my being weak?  Who is led into sin without my intense concern.  If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness.’” II Corinthians 11:23-30

We watch our world getting further and further from God’s Truth … ‘people choosing to pursue only what seems right in their own eyes’.  There is rampant and common disregard and disrespect for His creation, His creatures and His children.

Individually, we struggle with disease and deterioration, direction-lessness, loneliness and hopelessness, disasters, chaos, tears and fears as never before.  Sometimes we all wish we were bold enough to just shout out to God that He has (or is) making mistakes.  We tell Him in our hidden hearts that you ‘catch more flies with honey than vinegar’ and wonder at His wisdom.  I wonder why?

Take care, your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene (who prays for you each morning.)
